Day 11: Walk on the Seedy Side of Life

Gathered at the Golden Stag Inn while Mutu made reparations to his God. Met Godric – a yeti form the north – who introduced me to a new drink, a Midori Sour. Outstanding! Decided to share our notes from our various research.

Charles – studied NOD the central city of the Dreamworld. Found mention of black sand from the underground lake. Said if it could be brought to our world, could create dreams and allow you to reach all your desires.

Diana – The black stone heart concealed in the teddy bear contained a soul. If damaged, it returned to its original shape and became inactive. Unable to detect if inactive (Charles sigil).

Kiren – told of my findings about the House of Bone. A neutral meeting place for all the gangs, run and owned by MORTIMER TOTENSPIELER. He has created this “gambling” spot on the east river, but doesn’t deal with just mundane bets. Deals in items that transcend the ordinary such as luck, memories, time of your life, a moment of fame, dreams or even a fragment of your soul. I have a contact at Der Rostier Dolch (Rusty Dagger) willing to sell an entrance token (A Vladaslav). Claim clean entrance better than asking Lavinia as she could be compromised.

SHOPPING TRIP! I managed to pick up a couple of items I think will be useful in our future. Charles and Diana seemed overwhelmed by all the choices (rookies). May later they will return for some goodies.

At the rusty dagger, I met my contact. Charles seemed very uncomfortable. I would think he would have ministered to people like this to “bring the light of Sarenrae” to their lives. Guess not. Managed to gain a token for admission to the Bone House (6 sided ivory piece) which should be allow entrance for 1 week for entire party. Did mention they don’t like Clockwork men, so worried about Mutu.

Leaving the dingy pub, Grandmother blessed me with her spider senses. We are being followed. (Figured as much was going to happen). 3 thugs, one slipped an mentioned sent by the Veiled Hand. We did warn them…and they chose…poorly.

Diana’s creature (I really do need to give the poor thing a name) managed to grab the last one. Charles promised he could walk away (seriously?) so I had to play along (for now). Phillip claimed the Veiled Hand sent them due to my inquiries. Hired by one-eyed John in the Veiled Market (found in the lower river district).

Charles let him go (such a bad idea but that can be rectified…later), and I suggested he leave town.

Returned to the Golden Stag to decided next steps.
