Day 21.5:Never ending story…

Well we get sent back outside the library (in spite of Mutu) by Moira just in time to see ourselves walking into the library (and it’s snowing? I don’t remember it snowing when we left). And of course, someone is waiting for us (Why wouldn’t they be).

Jenny Dreadful (the woman needs a serious day at the spa day- yeesh) claims Memrose didn’t convey the message very well if we went to talk to Moira, so now she has been sent to “remove us” from the equation. Yeah…others have tried. All have failed.

JD tries to fascinate Mutu without much success and her attack was pitiful (much like her skin). Kiren tried to acid grasp her but she sidestepped. Charles manages some shadow damage, while Diana & Him & Mutu all missed their opportunities. JD slaps Mutu and tries to land a sigil on him, but Him denies her what a hard “slap” of his own. Kiren/Diana/Him seem to have trouble hitting her while Kiren tries to recall the tantalizing something about her without success. However, Geist recognized her! Was once a Fey Lord until corrupted by the Withering Man. The fight continues with the party getting some hits and wearing her down. Like the coward that she is JD summons 8 creatures to fight for her as she tries to run away.

Now, these creatures are a bit smarter than the last ones and recognize Diana controls Him, who is currently still chasing and beating on JD. Thankfully they are not very good at hitting all the time, but eight is enough to eventually take Diana down – which dismisses the treat on JD by Him. Charles gets her back up, but Kiren goes a different route and decides 8 eight arms would be useful against eight annoying creatures and uses her octopus potion and snags a creature.

With the party otherwise engaged with the pitiful hitting creature, JD decides to flee. This is not allowed. Following her tenent of Humiliate the Powerful, Kiren yells out the one word she knows will draw the arrogant, self-serving Fae back…
