Day 27

The creature is identified as a banshee and she may be affected by sunlight. Unfortunately, the clouds seem to darken and coalesce as the party battled against her. The battle raged and both Diana and Mutu are felled by the banshee. With some healing from Charles, Diana managed to rise up and struck down the wailing monster, for now. During the battle, the banshee said things like “carry the keys to the gates of delirium” and “unravel the threads of Nod”.

Of the three doors, Kiren noticed that the south eastern door had been used recently. Fortunately, the door was unsecured, which wasn’t surprising to Kiren. All the doors in this town seem to be unlocked. The party descended into a small circular room with tapestries hanging from the walls. In one area of the room is a pile of skulls and candles. Runes are carved into the skulls and Charles believed they are similar to the runes the party has seen before. Mutu noticed that Charles sigil relit and storms towards the downward stairs. As he did, the murals started to come to life and lashed out. While Mutu and the rest of the party tried to defeat the mural creatures, Diana took a stand that this was a burial chamber and should not be desecrated. Charles, while helping in the battle, realized the area was already desecrated and tried to assuage Diana’s concerns. Thankfully, Mutu brought the might of Sarenrae and smites the three creatures. The party found a wardrobe stone and some ritual paint. Diana breaks some of the skulls and finds a far full of motes.
