Day 19
Distracted from his thoughts, the party decided to climb the stairs to the next floor up. Entering one of the rooms, debris begins to swirl and becomes a childlike monster. Mutu is enfeebled by a bite from the monster. In retribution, Mutu obliterates the doll. Upon searching the room Kiren finds a child’s dead body along with a ring (encircled with rabbits), a sand stone heart, and a teddy bear. The party determines that the child had died of neglect. There may have been traces of black sand and the sand stone heart was broken.
The party may investigate the dress by finding a tailor.
The party is now determined to clear the building and find the toy maker. Upon returning to the first floor, Kiren determines that there are noises coming from the room behind the double-doors. The room behind appears to be an office space. A shrouded and cloaked person sits behind a desk cluttered with papers. It asks if the party was sent by the maker because they were not shipping now. Mutu charges forward and threatens retribution. The automaton and his jack in the box minion attack. Mutu easily dispatches the toy in the box, but the primary is tougher to beat. Eventually the party finishes off the construct.
So many papers are on the desk. The party may require some time to look through all the items. Plus, the primary mentioned that the toy maker might not even be in the building. Where could they be?
