A Blue Rabbit & Some Advice
Summary of Events (5/4/2025):
In the timeless hush of the Endless Library, a voice only Mutu could hear asked if he had come to petition for a Library Card—but he offered no reply. I nstead, the heroes paused to rest. Mutu kept watch, ignoring the whispers; Kiren took the final vigil. Charles, haunted by fragmented dreams of a life before, stirred uneasily in sleep.
Come morning, they placed young Nissamera’s hand upon the Book of Unseen Currents. With the many-shaped key and focused will, it turned to her home. HIM guided her through the page to safety, then returned to the paths of the dead.
Drawn to the tome that doomed Namukong, Kiren approached the Iphupho Shards of the Drowned King—only to be warned by Lord Lapine, the Blue Rabbit, Trickster of the Lunar Veil. He spoke of Namukong’s folly: making a deal, then seeking a loophole. Amused, he pointed out the marks they bore—Jenny Dreadful’s upon Kiren, Moira’s upon Mutu, Death’s chill on Diana… but none on Charles. With a final laugh, he vanished—unaware Kiren had stolen his Library card during a hug.
Choosing not to seek their own cards, the party used hers and returned through the red gate. There, in the Bibliotheca Tenebrous Umbrarum, they discovered a hidden passage—but first, they met Aiara, a forgotten goddess. She demanded a secret from each, then gifted them boons. Before they could pass, three Owbs attacked. The heroes stood firm, slaying two and driving the third away, preserving Aiara’s fragile light—for now.
