Gregor’s Mind
I ended up being transported to a walled-in area where thoughts go to die. Some of Gregor’s thoughts invited us to rot with them across time, but we elected to solve a riddle and move forward to confront Gregor’s id, which turned out to be a nightmarish, musical tree-thing. Kiren examined the surrounding of the area and found statues depicting individuals known as Gabriel, Lena, Bessenne, etc. and as she approached, needles of pain pricked her skin.
Kiren was dragged underwater by some kind of spirit beast, but Him got her out. The apparitions seemed to be tormented souls and we were able to exorcise the spirits.
We faced off against Gregor’s id and nearly perished. It was a beast of a foe. It took out Him and Diana and then me, but someone brought me back to consciousness and we were able to finish it off. I never thought that a dream creature or a manifestation of someone’s pysche could be so powerful. I still have my own soul intact and I’d like to think my mind was retained as well in this form, but lacking an actual brain as an organ, I have to wonder whether the brain is required for such a feat. Clearly, if I hadn’t discarded me original body long ago, I wouldn’t have been here today to help me friends face this threat. I don’t know how I feel about it.
In any case, according to the riddles, we have one more trial to face before we can get out of this dreamscape.
Whatever Hastuer has done to Gregor has caused incredible damage to his brain. Fragments of the dreamscape or Gregor’s mind continue to assault us. It’s possible that even when we escape this place that Gregor will be beyond saving.
Most recently, we fought against some bat-like creatures that attempted to consume parts of us. Fortunately, most of us remained relatively unharmed while under my protection. Some dark, dark magic has created this place. I can feel it. Our stuggle against it has made us more powerful too. Gregor is going to be in for some pain when we get out of here if he doesn’t surrendur immediately. If we get out of here, that is.
We fought Gregor’s aunt, a powerful undead entity in his mind. Gregor’s boyish apparition appeared in order to hamper us in our fight.
Solving the puzzle of the ego, we were transported to an area where we fought a giant cello.
